FM27 New Features
Football Manager 27 has been briefed as a set of deep dives rather than one trailer. The public pages cover a clearer interface, match-day atmosphere, tactical tweaks in the match engine, training and tactical effectiveness, a more personal manager, a deeper world, the 2D engine and in-game editor, and a new multiplayer mode called Shuffle Draft.
The interface dive is the one people are reading against last year's complaints. FM26's screens were widely disliked. The FM27 portal still uses the top bar — Portal, Squad, Tactics, Recruitment, Training, Club — with a second row of chips. The official stills show that structure. Whether it feels better is a hands-on question the preview exists to answer, and I have not played it.
Two database notes sit beside the features. The licences update adds the Roshn Saudi League and a fully licensed Arkema Première Ligue, and the deeper-world dive cites more than 18 million database changes and 1,500 competition updates. Those numbers come from the official feature pages, repeated by the licence roundups.
Use the cards below for one topic each. Tactics as a system live here. Specific shapes and club notes live under the tactics section, which is a different intent.
What is new in FM27?
A clearer interface, match-engine and training changes, international management, new leagues, and Shuffle Draft.
Is the FM26 interface gone?
The official dive says navigation is clearer. Preview write-ups disagree on how different it feels. See the interface page.
Where is the trailer?
The gameplay preview and the first-look livestream are on the trailer page.
