FM27 Transfer Budget and Finances
The portal still in the official interface dive shows two money blocks: a transfer budget and a wage budget. In the sample screen the available transfer figure and the wage figure are different pots with different bars. That is the concept. The pounds on a development-build screenshot are not a real club's FM27 allocation, and I will not quote them as one.
FM Scout maintains starting transfer and wage budgets for FM26. Those tables are useful for the previous game. They are not an FM27 database. The deeper-world dive says the database moved, with more than 18 million changes. A copied FM26 budget would be wrong even if the club name matches.
What you can do in the preview is read the two numbers the game gives your club and decide which one is tight. A transfer budget spends on fees. A wage budget spends on contracts. Shifting money between them, when the board allows it, is a board conversation, not a cheat. I am not listing the click path.
Free agents are the budget workaround people search for. The free-agent page points at FM Scout's October list and dates it. Signing a free player still costs wages. A £0 fee with a huge contract is how the wage bar disappears.
Are FM27 starting budgets published?
Not as a sourced table I am willing to call FM27. FM26 tables exist and stay labelled FM26.
Why are there two bars?
One is the transfer pot and one is the wage pot. The official portal still shows both.
Do free agents cost nothing?
The fee can be zero. The wage hit is not.
