Import an FM26 or FM24 Save into FM27
Two different saves get talked about. The Launch Preview save, on PC and Mac, is covered by the official free-play note: it carries into the paid game. That one I will say plainly.
An FM26 or FM24 career imported into a brand-new FM27 save is the other claim. FM Scout states it. A Sports Interactive forum thread titled around importing from 24 to 27 records players saying a staff member confirmed it on Reddit. The long-standing official help article is the FM26 save FAQ, which explains compatibility for that game. I am not going to pretend that FAQ was rewritten as an FM27 promise.
FM Scout's public summary reports a carry-over option on FM27's start screen, with the old FM26 or FM24 save stored on the PC or in the platform's cloud storage. Suggested preparation: keep an unchanged backup of the original save, make it available on the same PC or store cloud, then use that start-screen carry-over option. The menu description is single-source community reporting; the linked official FAQ is still labelled FM26 and does not independently establish the FM27 menu. A missing save may be a storage/location issue, while PC and Touch save formats must not be mixed.
Touch saves are a third path. The Apple Arcade note says older Touch saves can move into FM27 Touch. That does not mean a PC FM26 save becomes a Touch save, or the reverse. Keep those imports apart.
Will my preview save remain?
Yes, according to the official preview note.
Can I import FM24?
Forum and FM Scout say yes. The official FM27 help article was not the source I could cite.
Does a PC save become Touch?
No. Touch has its own carry-over note on Apple Arcade.
